Robot Week- Foil Robot

Here is another project you can do with your cardboard robot from this week!
Foil Robot
You will need:
Cardboard robot (click here for project)
Liquid glue
or
Paint
Paintbrush
Piece of tin foil

Cover your cardboard robot with glue or paint. Use a paintbrush to spread the glue all over.

Gently lay a sheet of tin foil on top

Starting from the center, gently massage the foil with your fingertips (not your fingernails!)
You will press around all your shapes that you made, and they should show up.
Check out this video (at minute 6:25) to see how this is done.

When you are done, you have two choices
You can use sharpie (or any PERMANENT marker) and color on top of the foil.

or you can add paint over it all to enhance all your details. The paint will settle into the deeper textures. You can gently wipe some away with a paper towel and see your details pop.

There it is folks! Several ways to work with collagraph (that's the glued cardboard scraps) .
You can do this project again with your own idea (flowers, butterflies, people)
